Big Data and Health

The Big Data and Health Cluster was conceived of with idea that data expansion is growing exponentially daily, and new analytic methodologies are needed to fully exploit these resources. While Big Data is important for many applications, opportunities for applications in health, including human genetics, health informatics and health disparities, are of particular interest.  The diversity of data resources and methodologies necessary to analyze Big Data requires interdisciplinary teams, therefore the Big Data and Health Cluster aims to provide opportunities and venues for faculty across disciplines to collaborate and innovate using Big Data to describe, understand and drive health equity.
