The core function of the HEI statistician is to provide technical assistance, specifically in the area of quantitative data analysis and management, to investigators at HEI and those who are affiliated with HEI, researchers at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and community members collaborating with SFSU. The nature of the technical assistance includes, but not limited to, run quantitative data analysis and management, provide consultation to all interested parties with issues regarding quantitative data analysis and management and offer training for project staffs and students. Topics of such training include use of statistical software, employing appropriate data management strategy and devising protocols for quality control of project data.
