Book Launch for Laura Mamo's new book, Sexualizing Cancer: HPV and the Politics of Cancer Prevention

HEI was honored to be part of a book launch celebration for Laura Mamo’s newest book, Sexualizing Cancer: HPV and the Politics of Cancer Prevention, held at Manny’s in San Francisco’s Mission District. Professor Martha Kenney, Women and Gender Studies, introduced the evening’s program. Following a brief reading, Mamo was joined by the medical historian and journalism professor at UC Berkeley, Professor Elena Conis, in a conversation on vaccine history and politics. Thank you to the students and faculty who joined HEI in the celebration.
